The Best Is Yet To Come
When everything seems to be going downhill
When nothing goes according to plan
REMEMBER
The BEST is yet to come!
I’m glad I wrote that down and placed it on my bulletin board to stare at everyday. I had no idea how much my brother’s admission to Montfort bothered me, until he got accepted.
I was disappointed and angry (yes angry) when he got rejected twice from the institution. Despite mom asking me to let it go, I sat myself down and wrote a long email to the director, stating my disappointment and telling him why he and his board should consider my brother for admission.
When I called to follow up, I was ready to debate yet again and perhaps would have really vented out my frustration should he yet again be rejected. But indeed the best was yet to come, and Sam got his admittance into the school.
Normally, I’m not exactly an emotional person unless it’s something I have strong opinions about but even then nothing teary. I’ve always felt that it’s a sign of weakness. But tears were called for this time. I cried when I called Mom to tell her the good news. It’s really a huge relief. I feel pounds lighter!
